Making Posters
Well today was another glamorous day in the life of a stay at home mom of four boys. I refuse to get back in the routine of yoga pants and baggy tees since each day guarantees either a knock on the door or a trip to the store!
So my answer is relaxed jeans cuffed, a super soft embellished tee and a long, loose cardigan. So even though I spent quite few hours on the kitchen floor making posters for our Primary Program I wasn't embarrassed when I left the house to get more milk!

Sunday
I just love how this dress from Shabby Apple feels like something a secretary in the 70's would be wearing. Bright purple has been one of my favorite new colors for 2009 so I just knew this dress needed to be mine.
p.s. I feel like the mirror behind me almost looks like a hat from Gone With The Wind

Fall Line Preview
I just LOVE Ruche! They carry a beautiful blend of vintage style with a modern look. It reminds me of Anthropologie but at Target's prices. Just look at this fall teaser, I think I need to move somewhere cold enough to wear this jacket year round......don't get me started on the purse!

Bridal Shower Brunch
It is a rarity that I get to dress up on a Saturday so I decided to have a little fun with the black and white theme! It all started with this belt that I have been coveting for a few months. When I saw it new with tags on eBay less then at the store, I grabbed it! For an extra playful look, I added the eyelet tower slip . It also helps with all the sitting so my skirt doesn't sneak up too high!

Today's Outfit
Today was the first day of school and an early morning at the park so comfort was key! Since most of my running around time was before lunch, I was able to wear a light longsleeve with a light pair of jeans without getting too hot. Lace Cami from DownEast Basics
Long Sleeve Shirt from DownEast Basics
Lightweight jeans from Banana Republic
Nude Flats from Famous Footwear
Shade Fall Line Launch
I am a HUGE fan of Shade Clothing and I have been so excited about the release of their new fall line. They have starting releasing a handful of the pieces today including (you got it) cardigans! I can't wait to watch for the rest of the line to filter in. I have my eye on quite a few pieces that I have seen sneak peeks of like the paid tunic and the colorblock sweater!
I love brands that you know you can trust the quality, fit and hem lines. To get all that at their low prices is even better!

Today's Outfit
Today consisited of dropping kids off at the movies, a Starbucks run and Kindergarden Class Posting. I went for casual with a little glitz by adding in the gold necklace and shoes. Please keep in mind my husband didn't catch me in my most photogenic moment as we were starting our walk to the elementary school so it was off with my head!

Possibilities Cardigan
Before I introduce myself, let's jump right in with something fun and close to my heart......cardigans! I can not seem to get my hands on enough cardigans this season which is a little silly since I live in sunny San Diego. I may need to move to Seattle just for my wardrobe rotation ....but I digress!
So much better then the hood! My favorite ways to wear mine (I now have two) are the top right corner and the lower left corner. No accessories needed, so simple yet so much style!
One of my absolute favorite cardigans that I own is the Possibilities Cardigan by Moth from Anthropologie. They are all over eBay right now (where I get 80% of my Anthropologie items from) but they are being displayed all wrong. At first glance, it looks like a simple cross over drape cardigan. When you click on the other picture of a way to wear it you get this......ack!!!
Kylie Minogue may have looked stunning with a hooded jumpsuit but that is not the look I am after. So, if you are like me you may pass this truly wonderful cardigan by simply not knowing how truly wonderful it really is. Luckily, when I once braved the dangerous terrain of an Anthropologie store (I say dangerous because I fear divorce each time I see my cash register total) I found a beautiful purple one and asked the sales associate how it was supposed to be worn and this is what I found out.....
