J Crew Final Sale

I will try to update this tomorrow with some IRL photos but here are my recent J Crew Final Sale purchases. The prices are before the 30% off Promo (use code MUSTHAVE) that goes through tomorrow:

Lace Panel Camisole $168 $39.99

I loved this collection piece when I first saw it styled in the catalog but $168 for a cami that looks like lingerie....umm that was not going to happen. Once it made it to a final cut of $39.99 plus the extra percentage promo I knew I could take the chance. I love this cami, it is very luxurious and well worth the sale price. I wasn't sure about the color but it is really nice IRL and the lace really pops and adds a lot of texture. My only complaint is the straps are sewn just across the seam and the extra dangles inside. Not really a big deal but it may have been if I had paid full price for it. The fit was TTS for J Crew Cami's.

Pilar Paisley Cami $89.50 $29.99

I picked this up in my regular cami size (6) and it fits great except the button at the "v" really pulls. It fits perfect everywhere else and I don't have much of a chest. If you do, you will probably want to size up. Notice the models is unbuttoned one lower then normal. I debated over this cami because I have issues with ruffles around the collar on me but the fact you can tuck the ruffles in sold me.

Stretch Double-Serge Pencil Skirt-Abyss Blue $98 $69.99
I LOVE this color. It is even prettier IRL and it seems a little darker. Like the other double serge pencil skirts, it is really flattering and fits TTS.

Coralie Cami $88 $39.99

I already have this cami in the butternut but I must say that I love the faded black even more. It is a really soft color.... closer to charcoal then black. This works for me since I very rarely wear black. The Coralie fits TTS

Eyelet Bow Blouse $78 $19.99
First impression when I tried it on....yuck. So I tried everything else on and then put it back on.... meh. So I tied the bow better and then quickly warmed up to it. So much in fact that I decided to wear it the rest of the day. It is very light and airy and it is something that was missing from my wardrobe. A casual blouse with short sleeves. I found it runs TTS if not a little big.

Soiree Satin  Blazer $148 $39.99
This was a pop back that I just couldn't resist. The color and material is so gorgeous. An added suprise is the papaya piping in the lining and the satin papaya cuffs. I bought this in a 6 but it seems to run pretty small. It is really tight in the shoulders but not anywhere else. Not sure if I am going to love this one yet....verdict is still out.

I have a few more Final Sale items on the way that I have seen IRL and loved...the sequin-strip tank in vintage fatigue, the sparkle waves henley in blush stone, and the Petal Stream Tank in English Saddle.

A look, a sale, and a secret

Make sure to scroll all the way down for some top secret info:)

Yesterday I decided to recreate a "summery" version of the outfit from the Fall Essential mailer. The print of this top reminds me of the watercolor garden print that J Crew had out over the spring. The more I style the new line, the more deeply in love I fall with it. My newest obsession is this tee with this cardigan in vintage yellow....yummy! Good thing they have upped my hours
Can you resist the extra 30% promo at J Crew? I obviously can't because as soon as I got the email, I became a shopping fool. Then I decided to face reality and cut my cart down lower and lower...sniff (I am still not supposed to be shopping afterall) until I could hit the $150 free shipping. Then I lowered it some more which really hurt because I hate J Crew's shipping fees. I found a secret link that took me to an on sale colorway (heather stone) of the tissue sequin tank  that I just couldn't pass up along with this cardi that has been calling my name for months. There must have been a lot of people shopping the sale because it took me 20 minutes to get my order through because their systemcart kept crashing. I mentioned it casually in my BizRate survey and they took the shipping fees off.....whoo hoo!Today is the last day of the sale, did you grab anything?

And now for the top secret tid bit. The rumors are true, Loft's friends & family sale is coming up.....quick! It will run from August 3rd through the 8th (with a special preview day on the 2nd for cardholders). I have a link that will allow me to email out the 30% off coupons on Friday so if you'd like me to send you one, just leave a comment with your email address.

Polka Dotted Monday

Today is another crazy busy Monday. First I got to work in Chase's Kindergarten classroom and now I have to do some vacuuming, floor cleaning and counter/cabinet wiping in order to meet our other adoptions worker (yes, we have two of them plus our social worker) at 3:00. T-Ball practice is at 4:00 and then we have to leave at 5:30 to get to one of our required adoption classes............whew. I am tired just thinking about it.

Luckily, everything today is casual so one outfit will last me through the day if I want it to. I had on my juliet heels but flats just seemed more practical with everything going on. And although I have been dressed for hours, obviously the toddlers are not but they look so darn cute and comfy.

I postponed my trip to J Crew and Anthropologie this weekend when I saw that they had added the in-store promo 0f 30% off all sale items to the online (promo code EXTRA30). I plan on going to Anthropologie tomorrow or Wednesday so be on the look out for some reviews. In the meantime here is what I picked up on final sale from J Crew. I was good and kept the total low.

Roses and Ruffles Tank:  I am just a sucker for ruffles and roses done in knit. I had tried it on in store and liked it so I scooped it up for just $20.99

Jackie Cardigan: A Jackie also for just $20.99, how could I pass that up. All they had left in my size was the light pewter (now gone) but I am sure it will get put to good use all the same!
