Neapolitan anyone?

Today I am getting ready for my oldest son's birthday "get together" tomorrow. What better for a teenager's party then pizza's,  rootbeer, junk food and homemade icecream cake? So in honor of the cake I will be making throughout the day, I wore my neapolitan cardigan. This print is a really great blend of colors and I am seriously considering grabbing the skirt as well (but not to wear together) but am having a hard time justifying having two items with the same pattern. What do you think? Do you own multiple items in your favorite prints?

I love this cardi and loooove the skirt. I'm hoping it goes on sale at some point so I can justify buying it. My spring pencil skirt purchase of the season was the sunshine peony one, so to get the Neapolitan, it will have to be much cheaper! This outfit looks great on you. The colors look great with your skin tone, too.

Hi! I wrote you a long email one day but it kept bouncing back so I thought I would leave a comment! My comment was that I was happy to see someone offer a modestly styled blog! Awesome! I love it! Thanks for the great ideas. Have a great party tomorrow! I can't believe you have a teen- you look so young!

I don't have multiple items in the same print, but I would if they were things I loved. Why not, if it works for you? I think it's a sensible use of your money to buy things you know you can use.

AppGal-I am so envious of you for grabbing that skirt, I missed out but I may grab the top!

Peggy-Thanks for your kind words AND for letting me know about your email getting kicked back. Turns out there was one more place I needed to update my email address that I had missed!

Lady Cardigan-good point, thanks!!

I love this outfit you're wearing, especially the J Crew shoes. As for owning multiples of the same print, I don't think I own any, but definitely known for buying multiples of the same item in different colors. If it works, why not? As long as you know you'll get good use of it....

Love this outfit. I'm all for owning multiples as long as the items will get a lot of wear.

It's so gorgeous that I think you should! It could be your signature print!

I would totally get multiple pieces in the same pattern. If you like the pattern, go for it! I am going to keep my eye on the skirt and first markdown it's MINE! I love the print, too!!!

Looks great on you!

Thanks everyone, I think I will follow your advice and stop worrying about buying too many items in a print and focus on how much use I will get out of pieces. Now if it will just go on sale....

I love this outfit on you, especially your sweater and shoes. I'm all for picking up multiples in a certain pattern - if you love it so much, why not? :)

Yes. If you love the print, get mutiple items. Or you'll end up paying more for them someday on ebay ;)

You have a teenager?! Holy cow, I hope I look as good as you when I have a teenager!!

The cardigan looks adorable on you as the other ladies mentioned. You have such a great figure--everything suits you!
This is off topic but I had a question about the old navy weekend jeans that you are wearing in another post (the white ones)--do they stretch out alot for you? I ordered two sizes and am not sure which to keep--one is very snug in the waist and the larger size is just perfect (and I love these jeans by the way!). Thanks in advance for the help!

Mommydearest(love that name) and Elaine: thanks, you are way too kind!

Anonymous on the ON Weekend Jeans: The best way to answer is just to tell you about mine. When I first tried them on (and after every sunsequent wash) they are tight in my waist and hips. Not "make my fat ooze over" tight but "suck in for the zipper and will I be able to bend over" tight. After a little bit they stretch out to the perfect fit for me and stay that way unlike other jeans that will continue to stretch out so much that they sag. Even after a few wears I never find that they get too big, they just stay comfortably in place. Hope that helps!
