A Wrinkled Tale.......

A few of you had asked about my new tailored linen pencil skirt . I am sorry I didn't get you a before picture, with company in town I didn't take many OOTD pictures but I couldn't resist snapping an "after" photo of this skirt. This skirt has a truly beautiful fit and I love the color. I finally got a chance to wear it to work the other day and after 20 minutes in a car each way, 4 hours of standing (not even sitting) and then sitting down for a quick lunch THIS is what I ended up with.

I know linen wrinkles very easily but this seems pretty extreme. What do you think?

Here is what I wore to work the other day. I know you all mocked me for my 90's Seattle grunge look with the long sweater but tough...I wore it anyways ;) And since it was the sentencing day for Chelsea and Amber's killer, I made sure to wear my Chelsea's light bracelet to show my support.

I saw the sentencing results on tv. Good riddance.

The wrinkling does seem excessive. It's probably looks worse bc the skirt is a light color. I have a navy j.crew linen pencil skirt and I know that it's bad at the end of the day but bc it's so dark, it's not very noticeable.

Wow that linen skirt wrinkled too much, no fun! However your work outfit is lovely, the dress is beautiful.

Well, I can say this about the wrinkles, they look so uniform, it's almost like a pattern on the skirt - ha! Loving your OOTD, you look gorgeous!

Nah - I own several linen skirts, and the unlined ones are all just as bad. I would recommend steaming the wrinkles instead of ironing - it seems after a good steaming my skirts behave a little longer. Cute skirt though! :-)

I have the ombre linen skirt and the ikat linen skirt from last year, one lined and one not. Neither wrinkles quite like that and I sit most of the day. I wash them, then press while the are fresh out of the washer and damp, using just the teeniest amount of spray starch.

I really love the Loft dress on you!

I had a similar experience with linen wrinkling WAY too fast. I understand how dissapointing it is to have a clothing item you love, and to have it wrinkle to absurdly fast. Love the sweater over the dress in the OOTD. The necklace goes great too.

Oooh, bad wrinkling! I hate it when that happens. I just got a cotton pencil skirt from Loft, and while it wrinkles a bit - it's not much at all, much better than I expected.

Sweater over dress looks very cute! Fun outfit.

Ugh about the wrinkles! I love linen but am afraid of it for this reason.

I approve of your outfit with the long sweater over the dress. Well, what do you expect, I loved the '90s Seattle grunge era.
