The (two) Dog Days

Today was an immunization day. I really hate when they get old enough during their shots to give you the "how could you let them do this to me" look. So I treated them all to Starbucks chocolate milks and tonight we are having our family date. Chase is making Pizzas and we are going to watch Toy Story 3 while munching on popcorn with M & M's (the best combo ever). Here is what I wore, yikes...check out the roots! This is one of my favorite "go to" skirts, I love the print and color but the fabric allows it to be casual. If you come across one on eBay....grab it!:

*sniff....I miss my tan*
Two Dog Tee-J Crew (factory version)
Peacock Bling Cardigan- J Crew
Anstract Lattice Pencil Skirt-J Crew
Shoes-Mootsies Tootsies

And yes, we do have our share of earthquakes here in San Diego but my house is not tilted now. My seven year old photographer was getting a little creative. Diagonal and at a lovely low angle making me look wider.....how sweet ;) This is what I wore to work last night, I ended up adding a cognac belt to the dress that matched my boots:
Striped Cowl Neck Sweater Dress-LOFT
Leggings-Hue
Kady Boots-Target (last winter)

Awww, the chocolate milks sound like a good consolation prize for shots!

I saw that dress at Loft and LOVE it. i'm waiting for a good sale!

And I second the comment about the J.Crew skirt. I have it in orange and am a total fan!

Kimberly- I work at LOFT

pamela-the dress is so comfy and easy-it'll look great on you! I love your orange lattice skirt! I always have my eye out for one on eBay

Cute. I'm hoping I don't regret getting the striped boatneck sweater dress. I'm trying the one from Old Navy and hoping it works out well.

I particularly love your color combo for the lattice. Glad some treats are healing immunization day ;-)

I love both of those outfits...the color of the cardi is amazing in the first outfit, and I love the dog tee (I have it too!) I also love the cognac boots with the dress!

Hahaha, I promise that you do not look wider! You still look amazing! I had a dress in the same print as your skirt (which I adore!) but ended up returning it because it didn't fit me correctly. I still miss it!

Whatever, you don't look wider! I hate shots too and I hope the choc milk helped your kiddos!

I love that skirt! It does seem like a great go-to piece. Cute dress too!

I see on the sidebar you recently read an Emily Giffin book, I love her books! Can't wait for the movie version of "Something Borrowed."

I love your blog :) You have great fashion sense and I've definitely paired some things I wouldn't have before reading your posts. I recently bought the Painted Stripe Boat Neck Tee (navy stripe) and the Foiled Printed Cardigan (it says grey but it looks taupe-ish to me) at Loft and would like some ideas on how to style them. Any thoughts?

Thank you!

I was so eyeing that dress. I love how it was styled in lookbook with shearling boots and striped cardi. The moment I find my Alexa dress ( ancient J Crew), I am totally recreating this look. Lol about photographer comments. My husband is worse than your 7year old, he he..
