Same Outfits and PROMOS, oh my!

LOFT has really stepped up there cardigans and colors lately. This is my new favorite, the Double-Layer Woven Bow Cardigan in Amber, although I prefer to call it pumpkin spice. The color is very similar to the J Crew's Sepia but it is a little lighter and softer. I am wearing it today again (shhh...don't tell) with the Neapolitan Pencil Skirt and it matches perfectly. I have been a little "over" embellished cardi's lately but this one has the right balance.

I have been doing too much shopping lately but have you seen the great PROMOS? LOFT is doing an extra 40% off promo for sale items and J Crew is offering free shipping on purchases over $100. With all the extra sale cuts and new items I broker down and placed an order. $100 is so much better for me then the $150 shipping promos! Now I can't get the Tweed Jacket I had on hold but I scored four nice items (not just tanks and tees) from J Crew for a little over $100 before tax and I didn't have to pay shipping so I will get over it!

And here is a really blurry picture of the outfit I wore to work the other night. As you can see I broke down and got the spotted multi tier shell . I love the print and fit but I just wish the fabric was better. I can't see this lasting for years of regular wear. I wish I had captured it better because I ended up selling a few of the same combination to clients because they liked it so much.  I also had on cognac heels to match the belt but after closing I switched to ballet flats for comfort.

Some More Oak Tweed and I need your Opinion

Are you sick of the Oak Tweed Pencil Skirt on me yet? Sunday was the first time I actually wore it (the other pics were just for the blog) and I decided to try out one other Polyvore I had made for it.
Here is the Polyvore, all items are accurate (except the hairdo):

And here is my possible dud. My Boden shirtdress arrived today. I have been wanting a khaki shirtdress for awhile and once this baby went on sale for $39.99, I had to grab it. I think it was more flattering on my waistline IRL but maybe that is just wishful thinking. When I got this dress they only two colors left in my size (8 tall) so I ended up going with the taupe which isn't all that flattering on me. The cut is really well done and is right on with my measurements but this is my dilemma. It is really stiff. Like my collar kept closing back up like it was buttoned stiff .
And here is another beautiful (NOT) image. It moves with me and stays there. I lifed my arms and when I went to put them back down, it stays shifted up high on me. Which would be fine if I stood still all day but with four kids that just 'aint gonna happen. I am wondering if once I wash it it will relax and not do that but if I wash it, I can't return it. So what do you think? Keep or Return?

(notice Cooper doing a quick grab and dash with my iPhone...he is obsessed with it and steals it evey chance he gets)

Some J Crew Reviews.......

There has been a lot of buzz about the shimmer crinkle shell, thruth be told it will have to grow on me. I sized down on this one (which I ofen do on their tanks) and I am not sure if I should have. I think if it were looser maybe the ruching would be more relaxed...hmmmm. Pros: The color and shine is so pretty. All of the colors  (there is one more blushy gold color that is in store only) were beautiful but I went with the carbon because I thought it went best with my skin tone. The length makes this easy to wear with skirts...oh, and it is comfy!Cons: there is a lot of ruching  on the sides so you tend to feel a little lumpy, it is like adding some muffin top/rolls on the side. The length also seems short to me compared to a lot of the tanks. Depending on your height, this may be good or bad.  I also sized down in the cardigan because I plan on wearing it open and I have heard that the featherweight cotton will stretch out over time.

No big shocker, I love this boatneck tee! I sized down because well, my store had run out of Mediums and the fit was fine. These are so comfy and flattering. I have a small chest so I don't have to worry about horizontal stripes as much as those who are bustier. And the necklace....don't get me started. I just love it and it is the perfect amount of statement without being overwhelming to what you are wearing. And since it is clear....it matches everything! Cooper wanted to be in the picture with his one shoe on and his new Cars bandaid....his shirt is Mini Boden in case you were wondering :o)

And here is the other colorway in the boatneck tee. Told you I love it...I took a cue from Cooper and am actually only wearing one shoe too. Truth is, it was in my car and I didn't feel like running out to get it.

And lastly, here is a picture of the tee untucked so you can see the length. For me, the length is perfect but I can see how those who are petitie...cough...cough...JAN...cough.....might find it too long!
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and Father's Day! My husband tore his ACL in his knee so we are just going to pamper him at home with Spam Burgers (don't ask) and lemon meringue pie.
