My (not so) Triumphant Return

Sorry for the unexplained absence- we had a bad stomach flu in the house that started with me and worked slowly through three out of four of the kids and ended (hopefully) with my hubby. Needless to say, I have not been on the computer checking my favorite blogs and you would not have wanted to be exposed to my outfits of the day which consisted of yoga pants and my husband's t-shirts with a messy ponytail.

I am finally getting to leave the house a little now that everyone is on the mend. I don't have anything fabulous to share with you (sorry) but here are two OOTD so I don't say "hello again" with nothing to offer.

Cardigan-Boden

Jeans-Banana Republic

Cardigan, Tee and Jeans-the Loft

I am looking forward to catching up on all your blogs and even though I didn't have the energy to respond to all the great comments, I have been able to read and appreciate them ALL!!!

Eeeyikes, I'm sorry to hear that you all were hit with a nasty stomach bug! I am glad to hear that everyone's feeling better now, though. I remember seeing that cardigan in the Boden catalog and being really interested - does it feel good on? Is it light or heavier knit? I'm looking forward to seeing you in the blog-o-sphere again!

Hi, I just found your blog and love your classically chic style! What a beautiful blue cardigan!

I am glad you are back and your family is doing better. I've been following your blog for awhile now and I missed your posts. I'm considering ordering that Boden (blue) cardigan--but I'm not sure which size to purchase. How narrow is it in the arm area? Do you think I can just order it in my usual size (for instance, the size I wear in Jcrew cardigans)? Thanks!

Ack, I had responded but must have closed it down before it posted correctly.....guess I am out of practice

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome backs!

Amy Kelinda- It is a nice light knit, really soft and comfortable!

Anonymous-I didn't find the arms to be too tight but it was snugger where I carry my extra weight (love handles). I ordered a US size 6 but would probably go up to an 8 when I order another color. Reasoning? This cardigan looks great snapped up as well as open and I just feel less self consious with a little more give in my waist. It wasn't too tight ( I wore it buttoned most of the day) but it was a little snug!

I wear a Medium or Small in J Crew cardigans. For comparison, I like M in tees and cotton cardigans, Small in silk blouses, tissue tanks and the merino cardigans. Hope that helps!

I love that cardigan too. I usually wear a 10 in pants but not sure up top. I guess I will have to do my measurements to see.

The shirt underneath looks perfect with it. Is it a flat white or is it that wrinkly material? Is it a current product?

Meg-the shirt underneath is the tissue tuxedo tank found here: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Feature_Assortment/NewArrivals/knitstees/PRDOVR~23336/23336.jsp
