Jackie, "Olive you".....plus I won!

My J Crew order is set to arrive today....can't wait! Feels like a slight reprieve from the shopping ban even though all these items were purchased in June.

Can I just say how much I love the color of the Burnished Olive Jackie ? The color is so vibrant IRL and goes with everything. Yesterday I paired it with the pale pink Tango Tank, khaki and my neon belt. I promised the kids we'd play baseball today (yes, I know I am  still a little overdressed) so I wore flats . I am so glad that I played softball for so many years growing up! It is an awesome, bonding thing that I can play catch and hit fly balls with them when Daddy is at work. I would hate if the only passion I passed down to them was for shoes (yes, they are all shoe fanatics). Problem is, they are all so good that we can only practice hitting at the fields or we lose all the balls over or fence in a matter of minutes.
After baseball it was Starbucks for me, icecream for them and a haircut for Chase and then at home movie night, I love summer! Here is the Polyvore for yesterdays outfit:

And for the second part of the title, looky, looky what I won from the amazingly wonderful, sweet and beautiful Kim over at Anthroholic. I actually had fallen in love with this dress and had emailed Shabby Apple's customer service about the measurements earlier this year before they ever got it in stock so imagine my suprise when I actually won it. It is like cheating on my shopping ban without actually cheating!:

The Jackies are my fave cardi too - I collect them like I did Garbage Pail Kid cards from when I was way little.

Congrats on the win, and just found your blog - where have I been before now?!

Congrats on winning! You'll look great in that dress and I glad you won, it's like a gift for sticking to your ban! And you look so pretty, I love that color of cardi on you.

Lisa-so funny you would say that...I still have my garbage pail kid collection!

Ina-I think I am just at 7 jackies but I plan on adding more and more!

Jessica-it is soooo like a shopping ban gift!

I have a burnished olive cardi too, but it's a ruffled one...anywho, I would never have thought to pair it with pink - what a great combo, I'm going to have to try that as soon as the temps cool off here!

You have awesome skills! Whenever I pitch to my boys I end up pegging them with the ball - ouch!

I love the color combo! You've inspired me to re-try the burnished olive Jackie... I loooove the color, but tried it on one day when I ran to the mall without a stitch of makeup (gasp!) and boy, it was not a good look for me... Note to self: under-eye concealer before standing under fluorescent lights!

Congrats on your win. You look great in that Jackie cardigan color. How does that Jcrew Visco tango tank run in size (compared to standard Jcrew top sizing)?

Kiki-definitely try it again! Nothings worse then dressing room lighting on an off day!

Anonymous-I sized down (like I often do at J Crew) for the Viscose Tango Tank. I tried on my true size in store and it fit well too but the smaller size was a little better

I'm contemplating whether I should buy the silk wrapped pearl necklace. I've been looking for a necklace similar to this one but I was wondering if the size of the pearl beads are too large?

Saadia-I love the silk wrapped pearl necklace. I find it an easy "go to" piece that is understated. Mine is in the natural and I personally don't find the pearls too large. Maybe it is because the nuetral coloring and the wrapped pearls make it look casual
