First off, Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great, safe one! I have been busy getting caught up with chores and time with my kids now that my work schedule has dwindled down. I do have to admit that just five days into my "no shopping in January" resolution , it has already been rough......really rough. There was a dress from J crew that I really wanted on final sale and it sold out yesterday which made me pretty blue. My husband does not understand any of this (not even a tiny bit) but he is loving the ban. Luckily, my J Crew order that I placed on Christmas Day arrives today...yippee! I really need to get my shopping under control.....anybody have some good tips?
Today we are headed out to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather. I threw on some denim leggings under a shirt dress and I am all set. My "bed-head toddlers" also wanted to be in todays pic. So you get a tiny peak at Christophers beautiful red hair but until the adoption is official, we can't post any pictures.

p.s. can I tell you how excited I am that The Lovely Bones is coming out as a movie???? It is one of my favorite books and I can't wait to see Peter Jackson's interpretation. Now I need to read the book again, it has been a few years but I'll wait until my Nook arrives.

I am scared that the movie is going to take a different spin than the book.
I love the book too...as disturbing as it is to read as a mom...but I have loved Peter Jackson's other films, so I will be optimistic!
Love your shirt dress!
cute outfit!! i can't wait for that movie, either. going to see it the weekend it comes out!
I think I need to re-read the book, too. It's been awhile! I think I sold it at a rummage sale though and of course the library will have a waitlist. oh well.
The shirt dress is so cute. And love it with the leggings!
oh, and BTW, no help on this end on how to maintain a shopping moratorium. I've never been able to do it!
I was so disappointed when Ryan Gosling dropped out. I thought he was a bit young for the dad, but people had kids at a younger age back then. Plus he is a great actor with a shot at disappearing in the role.
I am so over the promo with Wahlberg saying, "I saw her, too," in a whimpering voice. He is excellent as a supporting actor and did great as a lead in Boogie Nights, but I'm not buying this.
I like how you paired this shirtdress. I have it too but it always seems too springy for me to wear here(we're currently having 16 degree days and the wind chill factor puts it below zero lately too. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr)

You look like you belong in a Jcrew ad! I love the whole look!
