Blooms Print Dress

et me start off by saying this dress is really beautiful. The colors are amazing, the fabric quality is amazing and it is a beautiful statement piece. That said, mine is going back. The problem is, I really wanted it as a tunic. I have been stalking some great tunics like this one and this one and when I saw the Blooms Print Dress I hoped it would fit the bill.

However, this is really meant to be a dress. A very well made dress that just does not work as a tunic and is too short on me (5' 9") to wear that way. It is too nice for the park much less doubling as a beach cover up. I am sad to see this one go back because it really is a beauty. My only complaint is that it has a very straight cut waist and with that fabric it isn't as flattering as on the online pics. If I stand just right, the waist dips in like online and it looks perfect but if I took a picture like that, I would feel a little dishonest! This is a size 6, what I usually wear in Loft blouses.

The print is beautiful and quite frankly, looking at your picture, I don't see anything wrong with it! I love it with the white jeans and think it looks really nice on you. But you know what works best for you.

Cute, thanks for posting IRL pics! I saw it today in store but was too lazy to try anything on and warm weather is a long way off where I live. I will be stalking it though for a sale!

Very nice, but it does seem like alot of money for something that you don't just LOVE. But I do like the look of it with the jeans!

What about with leggings?
I love it - I think it looks good, even with a slim leg pant.

So pretty. I know what you mean about wanting it to be tunic length. It's definitely dress length. I think we'll see more print tunics, so feel confident in taking it back.

I think it looks really cute! But, as others have said, if you don't love it- then it's best to just return it!

Thanks for sharing!! :)

Awww, I'm sorry this didn't work out on you! The print is very lovely. When I saw it online, I remember just thinking that it's really gorgeous! Straight cut dresses don't usually do anything for me, though, but since you liked it so much, I'm going to have to check it out!

Bummer. But, I love returns... more $ to spend on something else! ;)

I personally love it! I think if you wore another skirt underneath, you could make it look like a slip and belt it. If you don't love it, I say take it back!! Too bad though.. it's such a pretty print!

I bet a lot of you will wear this one better then I did! My new rule is that if I don't absolutely 100% love something, I am not buying/keeping it.
